Who We Are
We are over 3,500 unionized (organized) employees in the State of Utah. The membership of Teamsters Local 222 works for over 35 employers consisting of a broad range of occupations: Professional Drivers, Warehouse Workers, Office, Bookkeeping, Clerical, Store Clerks, Auto Transport Drivers, Parcel and Small Package Handling and Delivery, Route Salesmen, Janitorial, Laundry-Linen Drivers, Construction, Sand & Gravel, Bakery Salesmen-Merchandisers-Drivers-Thrift Store Clerks-Maintenance, Dairy Milk & Ice Cream Production workers/Drivers/Maintenance, Mechanics, Car Rental, Job Corps. Residential Advisors, Concrete Pre-Cast and Block, US Mail Transfer, Water Treatment Plant operations, Tankhaul Drivers, Health Claim Processors, Credit Union Member Services rep. Members are encouraged to visit this site on a regular basis to stay informed on current events and issues. REGULAR MEETINGS ARE SUSPENDED

By vote of the membership in attendance at the May 2009 General Membership meeting and in accordance with the By-Laws of Teamsters Local 222, all regular meetings are suspended for the months of July, August and September 2009. Meetings will reconvene on their regular schedule commencing in October 2009. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!!!

LABOR DAY EVENT TO BE HELD AT LAGOON

We have all enjoyed the exclusive surroundings at Triple D Ranch the last two years for the annual Labor Day event, always held the Saturday before Labor Day. Due to unforseen circumstances, however, Triple D has not and will not be hosting any events this year. The annual event has been scheduled to be held at Lagoon: Date: Saturday, September 5, 2009 An All-You-Can-Eat meal is included with your entry and will be served from 12:00 - 1:00pm. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE AT THE LOCAL BY AUGUST 17, 2009 AND ARE ON SALE NOW. THE COST IS: $30 For 4 & Older (All Day Ride and Entry Only) $24 For 3 & Under (All Day Ride) Entry Only for 3 & Under and 65 & Older is FREE. Our group will be at the Meadow Terrace where prize drawings will be held at 2:00 pm. This event is limited to Teamster members and their immediate family. Posters have been placed on Union Boards and information will be mailed to all members.
