TEN $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS

WILL BE AWARDED TO CHILDREN OF TEAMSTER MEMBERS

FOR THE COLLEGE ACADEMIC YEAR 2010-2011

APPLICANTS MUST:

· Be the son or daughter of an active and/or disabled Teamsters Local 222 member who has at least twelve months of consecutive membership prior to application deadline of March 31, 2010.

· Be in his/her last year of high school and may not apply if he/she has already graduated from high school.

· Have a grade point average of 3.0 or better.

· Be among the top ten applicants, ranked by GPA and SAT (or ACT) scores.

· Plan to attend an accredited college or university.

These scholarship awards can be used towards tuition and/or book fees. Checks will be written to the school.

Professional Drivers, Warehouse Workers, Office, Bookkeeping, Clerical, Store Clerks, Auto Transport Drivers, Parcel and Small Package Handling and Delivery, Route Salesmen, Janitorial, Laundry-Linen Drivers, Construction, Sand & Gravel, Bakery Salesmen-Merchandisers-Drivers-Thrift Store Clerks-Maintenance, Dairy Milk & Ice Cream Production workers/Drivers/Maintenance, Mechanics, Car Rental, Job Corps. Residential Advisors, Concrete Pre-Cast and Block, US Mail Transfer, Water Treatment Plant operations, Tankhaul Drivers, Health Claim Processors, Credit Union Member Services rep.
